Hello again...

Wow, has been awhile since I've last posted something in this 'ghost blog.' Ahh well, with this semester's homework load, blogging is the least of my worries (ok ok that was an excuse.. I'm just purely lazy). Tehee.. Sighs, a Marketing exam tomorrow, bugger... Well back to studying

American Arrogance

Every country has its flaws, yet as we travel around we come to learn and accept them. However, there is one flaw in America that I cannot come to understand nor could I ever accept.. it's their blatant arrogance.

Americans take their liberties defined in the Constitution to the highest regard, and literally anything that violates (even seemingly) them would cause some form of debate. They would whine and complain stating how the government should not interfere with their liberties blah blah blah..

Whilst travelling to school in the morning, I happened to listen to a Texan talkshow radio. The host was discussing the issue of fines when he and he openly stated that 'I think it's absolutely ridiculous that (we) should be fined for not wearing a seatbelt in our car.' He argues that our safety is our choice; the government should not impose fines in order to force us to look after ourselves and wear a seat belt in OUR OWN car. The contention: that we should have the right to look after ourselves and the government should not interfere.

Utterly arrogant and ridiculous. True that living in this country we all have freedom to exercise our liberties and rights, but there is always a limit to what we have. Not only does his opinion emphasise his idiocy but it may prove to be murderous. It has been proven that the media is highly influential, therfore this stupid argument would only further to convince the audience to disagree with seat belt laws. HOW INSANE!!!

It's true that the government would try to find any means to collect 'dosh' from us, but we should put our 'money minds' aside FOR ONCE. Lets consider THE REASONS why we are fined when we are not wearing a seatbelt
- Seat belts are put in place in order to save people's lives if they are faced in a perilous situation in their car
- Children or young adults do not fully accept the concept of a seat belt, or that a seatbelt would hinder their 'looks' therefore they choose not to wear it
- Others may abstain from wearing a seat belt because it just felt 'uncomfortable'
- And some, are just plain LAZY

There are some unbelievable reasons why people do not wear a seat belt, and if some sort of fine/law is not enforced, I wonder what the percentage of seat belt wearers would be.

The radio talk show host of course tries to sweep this problem under the rug by agreeing with the importance of seat belts. However, the flaw here is his argument is that the government should not force us to take care of ourselves. What a selfish thought. Consider this:
- When we get into an accident, who is involved? If we think it's only the persons in the car, then we can call ourselves ignorant and naive.
- For example, if we were killed in an accident (because we did not wear a seat belt) the other person would have to suffer with the memory of a death, whether it was their fault or not.
- Remember, a dead person does not suffer after their death, but it's the people around them that would have to deal with it

This seat belt issue serves to emphasise how selfish, arrogant and blind America is.

However, this issue was not the only point in which drove me to my 'complaining.' The other day, another Texan radio talk show host stated: 'Those who wants to recycle go ahead and recycle, but not me. I do not have the TIME to do such things.'

Here, I shall not even point out the flaws of that argument.. his reason: BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME... HAHAHA, I can only sit back and laugh.. unbelievable

So my main point is, that we should not wallow in selfishness and conjure up arguments that only concern ourselves. We are so arrogant that we are able to argue that our own safety is up to us not the governments'. Well wake up America and get out of that veil of arrogance.

Awaken!

Looks like this blog was again on hiatus.. ahahaahah.. so many things has happened since that 'dark' blog but I was too lazy to post anything up since then.. hehehe.. Yet with the summer holidays looks like I have too much time on my hands so it's black to blogging... how sad.

The Darker side of us...

Secrets.. we are always surrounded by lies, deceit or mysteries, we cannot all be always angelic munchkins because... we're human. We make all kinds of mistakes, this is our way of learning and growing. However though, no matter how many lies we've woven around ourselves and others, they will eventually be exposed.

Example from a Personal Experience:
- A stranger from California called my house phone today, asking whether we were going to pay for an item that a certain person had bid on ebay. Problem: That person only happens to be 13 years old...
- When asked about ebay, the person vehemently denied any interaction with the bidding site maintaining his innocence
- Despite his plea of innocence, I called the seller back and found out that the seller has all of our personal information, home phone, house address etc... This made me realise that, it must be a miraculous coincidence or that someone has been 'vehemently LYING'
- Eventually all was exposed, in actual fact he does have connection with the ebay site AND that he has been doing 'dirty work.' Now that person has to face retribution
- As we reflect back on the day's events, we realise that every action has a meaning behind it... and the meaning of this person's actions have finally come to light.. (e.g. opening a package, that did NOT belong to him, when we had told him that he was not allowed to do that)
- Lesson to be learned: We all have to lie at times, but we have to remember that, our lies will eventually be exposed for retribution.

This will be an experience for the person that I know, and I do hope that he has learned his lesson well. As for me, I know that I have my deep and dark secrets as well, and I know that someday I will face my own consequences.

So for any readers (which I do doubt that there are any lols..) there are good lies and bad lies, good truths and bad truths... but remember that with every action there's a consequence.

Making a Comeback...

Wow... tis been awhile since I've last posted something here, but the good news is... EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER so everyone gets to sit back, relax and enjoy the heatwave that summer brings!!! yippie!

Phew.. a fair few things has happened between those exam days and now.. Most of the days were filled with action packed library sessions, though you get distracted half the time with all the food that is layed out before you..

Here are a few priceless memorabilia with my mates... all were DILIGENTLY procrastinating... *giggles*

WOWing

Watching IRON MAN

ME (not shown) --> Eating

Hehe.. you can see our beloved 'Wendy's' there (which is officially my "exam" lunchstop).. twas a very delicious meal indeed (I remember having salad that day.. ahh.. I've digressed)

Back on track.. We've gone swimming a couple of times again.. and our swimming buddy has finally learned how to stay afloat for a few more seconds!!! Woohooo!! A HUMUNGO congratulations for his achievements.. But no matter what, you still look like a goofball hahah..

Hrmm.. today was a nice sunny hot day.. however..

Moment of the day: Having a major brawl with the manager of Tofu Restaurant since they complained that we didn't tip them (I accidentally forgot)... They literally followed us to the car and demanded us!!! Sure I felt bad for not tipping them properly.. but the way they spoke to us and dealt with the issue was unbelievably RUDE and UNCOUTH that in the end they didn't get a tip and lost a few regular customers... >_<

I feel as if I’m having a tough week this week with all these issues happening… BUT behind every grey cloud there's a silver lining!!! (laughs at oneself.. gosh I can be soo dorky at times..) so I'll just stick my head up high and face the challenges ahead... BRING IT ON!

Anyways.. WELL DONE (again) to ALL EXAMINEES who have finally FINISHED their FINALS!!! The toils of our efforts (if we did put in any) will NOT go to waste!!! Good luck with your results and run around naked to celebrate the day!!! See you again next semester!

The FINAL count down...

Today marked the end of one more exam, leaving with only 2 more!!! The count down is finally coming to a close.. (sigh of relief). Then of course, when it's all over, there's the prospect of results.. But that, at the moment, is too far down the track.. lets just stick to the present.. bleh~

Moment of the day: Swimming and trying to teach a certain someone to float.. Quite hilarious when he slowly started to sink like the Titanic.. *giggles* hahaha.. BUT as clichéd as it sounds.. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!! (for now however, let us enjoy the adorable priceless moments of his efforts!!! ^_^)

Hoping that all examinees are feeling less pressured now due to the closing of the examination period... We can all have a breather and yell out HIP HIP HOORAY!!!

Breakie Time!

Another action packed, fun filled day at the library again!! The thrill of flipping pages, the screams of keyboards clicking away under fast and furious fingers. Brains moan as they try to digest the endless array of information.. Be careful not to lose that information on the way down to the examination room! It was literally a roller coaster ride into 'nerdsville'

Ahh.. what a day.. We shall do it again tomorrow!!!

Moment of the day: When a particular someone tried to do a martial arts 'kick' resulting in a strain of the leg and the cracking of stiff joints. Classification... PRICELESS

Diligently Procrastinating

Man oh man... about 6 hours in the library today.. But I don't think I've managed to use the time productively.. DAMN DISTRACTING DELICIOUS DRINKS & FOOD.. bugger couldn't think of another D word to finish off the alliteration. bleh~

However, I tried to convince a friend to study and unfortunately through all my blood and sweat, he managed to knock out cold on the
fourth page of the text book. I guess lullabies, mumbling about sheep and sleeping pills are becoming things of the past, going in replacement.. READING & STUDYING (only effective for non workaholics/nerds however...)

A good thing that happened though was that a special someone passed by my isolated desk and gave me my favourite
bubble cup accompanied with a yellow rose.. what a sweetie.. *giggles girlishly*

Ahh wells, again it's back to brain turmoil as I plough through an essay, racking my brains for unique and convincing ideas (in other words
bulltish)..

And of course, keeping up with my promise for every post.. A QUOTE!

Phew!

What a day for a knight, what a Knight for a day! Phewies! Managed to survive the day's upheavals, with three exams down!! This is a cause for a major celebration *Thanks the heavens* Yet.. there's still four more to go... bleh~ the life of a uni student.. good luck to those who are experiencing it..

Well, tis my goal that with every post there'll be a nice little quote and today's one is...

Some succeed because they are destined to.. But most succeed because they are determined to
.
Unfortunately the author of this dandy saying has decided to remain under cover, so unfortunately his/her name will remain -Anon-

Ahh bugger, it's back to 'diligent work' now.. I cannot busily procrastinate any longer or else I'll be sticking my head in the dump if my grades aren't up to par.. EEEK!!!

What Type Of Vampire Are You?

What Type Of Vampire Are You?
My Result: Energy
Quibblo user avatar

Energy vampires do not suck blood, instead they suck energy, human energy. We are all surrounded by them and are in fact people we know like our relatives, friends, our enemies and yes even yourself. the term "you are your own worse enemy" applies here. there are in fact 5 versions: The Pity( or the "poor me" who complain about their life and problems), The Aloof: (those who are withdrawn from others, shy, distrustful & suspicious), The Interrogator( perfectionist who want to bring down your views on everything, insincere, & the doubters), The Intimidaters( rageaholics, control freaks, bullies & the paranoids), & last Boasters (braggers, self-righteous, prideful, and liers). Remember we are ALL Energy Vampires.....to some degree.

Inner Power

What Inner Power Do You Posses?
My Result: Teleportation
Quibblo user avatar
Teleportation is the ability to physically transport yourself to an entire different place in earth and time. It's much easier than any type of jetplane. This generally suggests that you are not the type of person who likes to let the earth spin while you lay still. You want to move, go places, and if it was at any time at all possible you would certainly enjoy the chance to be a million places at once. You mostly live a fast paced life on the edge or have a very busy schedule, yet you manage and enjoy it either way.

Are you Human or Vampire?
My Result: Vampire

You have been bitten and drank anothers blood. You have faster reflexes than hybrids and human but are not the top of the food chain. You have a sanquine addiction (latin for blood) that is constant and will get you into trouble if your not careful. Bullets and other such weapons have little effect on you but there are a few specialised weapons that can put you in your grave quickly. You are a vampire so of course you have fangs suited for the job.

So, for all those readers out there (though I'd be surprised if a soul would've passed by this), AU REVOIR!!! This bloggie is officially closed... for now!
